Clients: D&L National Heritage Corridor and St. Luke’s University Health Network

This Clinic is working with the St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor on a project that will focus on their cooperative effort to both improve health and increase use of the D&L trail system. For several years, St. Luke’s has sponsored a program to encourage people “…to meet their personal fitness goals and experience the value of the local trails through day-to-day challenges, public events, and incentives.” St. Luke’s has a website where they ask people to log their miles, however, not as many people are doing this as actually sign up under the program. The TC will be exploring ways to increase trail use, increase the number of individuals who log their miles on the “Tail on the Trail” website as well as finding ways to measure the health efficacy of trail activities.
