Client: Slate Belt Council of Governments and Chamber of Commerce

There is an identified need for additional economic development within the Slate Belt region of Northampton County. The Lafayette College Technology Clinic (Tech Clinic)is working collaboratively with the Slate Belt Chamber of Commerce and Council of Governments (COG) to address ways to develop connections within the Slate Belt that can help promote economic development and entrepreneurship. Of particular interest are ways to encourage high school students to realize economic opportunities within the Slate Belt, show examples of local entrepreneurial success and provide means to understand what support might be available to promote development.
